Prof. William Alazawi, Prof. Luca Valenti and Prof. Rui Castro provide insights into the latest developments in the area of Metabolism, Alcohol and Toxicity in liver disease. The panel reviewed the therapeutic advances, focusing on cotadutide and MRI-PDFF ability to predict treatment response to resmetirom, and looked at a number of preclinical and clinical studies focused on the mechanisms underlying NASH and the development of a polygenic risk score for progressive NAFLD risk stratification.
