Calling for abstract submissions for ILC 2021 in a second round
EASL is pleased to announce the second round of abstract submissions for ILC 2021. We are calling for scientists, researchers, investigators, and companies to submit regular and high-profile, late-breaker abstracts, 10–27 April 2021.
In line with EASL’s commitment to make ILC 2021 the platform of choice for liver research from around the world, we encourage researchers to submit their most recent work – be it late-breaking results or work that simply was not ready earlier in the year.
The International Liver Congress™ 2021 is all about beating liver disease together. We will tackle this challenge from multiple perspectives, drawing on multidisciplinary expertise, with input from all four corners of the globe.
Multidisciplinarity – what horizons is this approach opening up? Multidisciplinary approaches to the health sciences are increasingly in demand – calling on multiple disciplines to tackle diseases from bench to bedside, from R&D through to patient care. Opportunities to publish this cross-cutting research are also on the increase, opening up new career horizons for investigators and other healthcare professionals.
Here are just a few examples of how ILC 2021 is showcasing multidisciplinarity:

News from EASL's EU-funded projects: A-TANGO Consortium launches
The A-TANGO Consortium, a five-year project, consists of 14 institutions across eight countries in Europe. It aims to perform Phase II clinical studies of an innovative therapeutic strategy that targets inflammation and improves liver regeneration – a novel combinatorial therapy called “G-TAK”. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 945096.
EASL serves as the dissemination arm of several EU-funded projects, including A-TANGO. Accordingly, we will provide support to A-TANGO, using our established communication channels to reach the wider liver community.
