Dear Tamar,
I would like to follow up on your conversation with Silviu Domente regarding the planned evaluation and risk assessment of IPC capacities at Fever-COVID clinics. These activities are a part of the joint effort of the European Union and
WHO Regional Office for Europe to support the solidarity health initiative addressing COVID-19 pandemic and kindly ask you to assign your staff members to the following site visits in six fever/COVID health care facilities:
13 July – Tbilisi - Kutaisi (evaluate 1. Kutaisi referral “Evex” hospital), overnight in Anaklia
14 July – Kutaisi- Senaki (evaluate 2. Senaki “Archimende” clinic ), overnight in Anaklia
15 July – Senaki- Zugdidi (evaluate 3. Zugdidi IDH and 4.
Rukhi central university clinic), overnight in Anaklia
16 July- Zugdidi -Poti (evaluate 5. Poti referral “Evex” hospital) overnight in Batumi
17 July- Batumi (evaluate 6. Batumi republic Hospital) –
return to Tbilisi
The purpose of site visits will be to conduct evaluation and risk assessment of IPC capacities and provide rapid on-site training/advice to the health care personnel based on assessment results. Based on identified
gaps a risk mitigation strategy will be included in the assessment report.
All travel related expenses will be covered by WHO CO.
