Subject: Greeting from NHIS, Republic of Korea

Dear Sir/Madam,

Greetings!

My name is Sang-Baek Chris Kang and I am the Director-General of Global Cooperation at NHIS (National Health Insurance Service) of the republic of Korea.

The outbreak of coronavirus has already been about nine months, there are more than 25 million confirmed cases and 860,000 people have lost their lives in the world. However, cases of the infection are still continuing to surge in many countries, even some countries which had apparent success in suppressing initial outbreaks are now seeing infections rise again.

Many countries have been implementing quarantine measures to protect their people and it is the same as the republic of Korea. We think it is essential to share the experience to deal with the pandemic effectively. As part of this, we want to share the strategy of republic of Korea and NHIS (National Health Insurance Service).

As a public organization, NHIS is ensuring the safety of the employees, striving to protect the health and well-being of the communities in which we operate, and providing information based on our Big data to the government, guidelines and resources to vulnerable groups to help them. In this booklet, you can find the way how NHIS fight against COVID-19.

Let's build a Corona-free future for all together!

Yours Sincerely,

Dr. Sang-Baek Chris Kang
Director-General
National Health Insurance Service, the Republic of Korea
