28 July: Take part in World Hepatitis Day | EASL's commitment to fighting hepatitisDigital ILC & viral hepatology | COVID-19 & HBV elimination | & more
To mark World Hepatitis Day 2020, EASL has issued a declaration of ongoing commitment. We are committed to fighting the good fight, to the end. To seeing the World Health Organization goals fulfilled. To seeing people with viral hepatitis accessing what they need: education, prevention, diagnosis, and access to effective and affordable treatment.
At EASL's flagship annual congress, liver specialists share cutting-edge scientific content on key thematic tracks. To find out how research in viral hepatology is developing, watch “Highlights in Hepatitis B and D drug development”, presented by the session Co-Chair, Dr Markus Cornberg.
Browse the presentations on viral hepatology: abstract sessions, meet the experts, interactive sessions, poster tours, wrap up sessions, and more.
EASL is forging synergies with umbrella patient organisations representing people affected by issues related to the liver. Find out which patient organisations we are building relationships with and browse our patient-focused resources.
Watch the EASL-WHO webinar on COVID-19 and the liver, a panel of leading experts in hepatology & virology discuss the COVID-19 pandemic, the WHO response, and how the care of people with liver disease and viral hepatitis are affected.

Applications open for short-term training fellowship
The Andrew K. Burroughs short-term fellowship programme is intended to support postgraduate investigators (basic and clinical), aiming to spend 3-6 months at a foreign institution to accomplish a focussed research project.
EASL recognises excellence within the hepatology community.
Despite the multiple disruptions caused by the pandemic, it may also catalyse a renewed effort to reach the 2030 goal to eliminate viral hepatitis as a public health threat.

The EASL International Liver Foundation is holding a one-hour session at Digital ILC 2020 on screening for HCV. To attend this event, register for Digital ILC.
Register to join the World Health Alliance's free webinar series, today, 28 to 31 July, exploring key issues related to global hepatitis elimination.
Each webinar convenes an expert panel of speakers to share their thoughts on how to find the missing millions and accelerate action to eliminate hepatitis by 2030.
