Dear Mr Demirci
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your willingness to support our intention for strengthening COVID 19 testing capacity in Georgia. We’ve explored potential funding sources for this procurement and found 2 partners ready to provide needed investment. One is the Asian Development Bank which will make direct payment for one Cobas 6800 instrument via the grant awarded to Georgia. Second machine will be procured by the ministry from the World Bank loan. With your concurrence ADB will continue direct communication with you on procurement related formalities. On our side, we will work to proceed with payments for another instrument from the WB project. May I kindly ask if you could adjust the original offer accordingly. So that Ministry has two separate invoices to be able to mobilize resources from different sources. I believe one invoice should be addressed directly to ADB for the WB supported procurement invoice should be addressed again to Ministry. I hope this would be possible.
Many thanks for your cooperation!
With kind regards
პატივისცემით,

Subject: Re: 3-step approach in testing solutions in Georgia
Dear Ms. Gabunia,
Please find our offer for 2 x cobas 6800 instruments in the attached file for your considerations. We haven't prepared an offer for the immunochemistry instrument for the antibody testing because our distributor Mirco will provide a free of charge instrument for antibody testing. This way we aimed to help you to channel your investment to the molecular side where the instrument is needed more in Georgia.
Our offer is directly to the Ministry of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia. This means that we will sell directly to the Ministry and this enables a better pricing by excluding the distributor costs, taxes and profit margin. All the customs clearance processes shall be handled by the Ministry in this case.
We are excited by this collaboration opportunity to contribute in your efforts both in the short term in COVID-19 management and also in long term for the public health with our wide menu.
We are at your disposal to discuss if you need further information or explanation. Please don't hesitate calling me any time on my mobile phone.
Kind regards,
Hasan Demirci
