[External]
Dear Mrs. Gabunia, dear Tanvir and colleagues,
Thank you for the minutes and action points from our call last week. Apologies for the slight delay in providing the inputs from the UN regarding the items we have readily available LTA/contracts for.
We have reviewed the list provided earlier by the MOH and mapped the items the different UN agencies are able to provide. Please find the consolidated list here. You will notice that WHO was not in a position to provide a full overview due to ongoing technical clarifications, but may provide additional inputs at a later stage (WHO did not want to delay our response given the urgency of the situation).
Regardless, this initial mapping provides the MOH-WB-AIIB an overview of the items available, a necessary first step, and gives a basis for the MOH-WB-AIIB and the UN to enter into more detailed discussions on the urgent priorities, prices, delivery times, etc. and decide the best way forward.
WHO has already shared the list of items available under the new centralized supply chain system. We are in the process of obtaining more information on how it will be operationalized (e.g. the online Supply Portal), and will provide additional information as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime, we are able to continue to work through the standard mechanisms outside the new system.
Regarding the MOH’s emergency item list, mentioned below, we would be grateful if you could share it so we can look into those items as a matter of priority. We understood that these priority items are already part of the list the MOH shared earlier, and not an additional list, if not mistaken.
We hope this provides a helpful overview for now. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any comments or questions. We stand ready to engage in more detailed discussions, should the MOH-WB-AIIB decide to channel this procurement through the UN.
I wish you all a nice weekend.
With best regards,
Mikkel
