I let you know that on Saturday night the truck entered Tbilisi customs zone in Gizi. The driver is waiting for further instructions from customs authorities.
With this in mind, please find attached documents requested by Ms. Maia Nikoleishvili. As far as I understand, our Georgian colleagues will take it from here and will contact customs authorities? Please let me know if you need any further information from our side.
Best regards
Margus

Dear all,
I would like to inform you that due to unexpected limitations in air cargo, we had to change the existing plan and therefore the shipment will be delivered via land. This also means a slight shift in dates.
I was in contact with the driver and he expects to arrive to Georgia on Saturday, 30th of May. Yet, it depends on how much time will take the border crossing procedures (via Russia to Georgia). The shipment will be delivered to the Customs Terminal, Tbilisi Bypass Road 36 (Gezi, Tbilisi).
I will let you know ASAP as the truck has entered to Georgia.
What concerns the joint visibility, we are flexible to organize a short visibility event on the day of arrival or preferably on Monday, 1st of June. However, we are open to your preferences and suggestions. Hereby, I kindly ask for Ms. Maia Nikoleishvili’s and Ms. Ana Onashvili’s feedback (incl. venue, participants, media etc.).
Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,

Dear Margus, hope everything is well with you.
We take this opportunity to thank Estonian friends for support and provided assistance! We highly appreciate it!
Keeping in mind your requests, we will contact the relevant bodies to ensure delivery without any delay. Please, let us know the exact date of delivery and other needed details.
We strongly support the idea of organizing a joint visibility event. This proposal needs to be further discussed together with the respective beneficiary ministries and agencies.
Looking forward to receiving your final notice about the date.
Wish you a good health!
Warmest regards,
Tatia

Importance: High
Dear Tamar,
Hope this e-mail finds you well!
First of all, I would hereby like to inform you and all respective colleagues with regard to Estonian humanitarian support to the Georgian Government. I have enclosed an official letter signed by Mr. Andres Rundu, the Undersecretary for Economic and Development Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia.
Secondly, the exact date and time of the delivery is not known yet, but according to the logistics company the shipment will be delivered to Georgia via air cargo during this week. I will inform you and all colleagues ASAP. With this in mind, I have two kind requests for further consideration:
(a) Customs procedures: our shipment is marked accordingly and it includes all necessary accompanying documents. May I ask you to facilitate this information to customs authorities in order to ensure smooth delivery to the respective beneficiaries.
(b) Logistics: as far as I understood the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia will organize local transport from the airport to their warehouse. What concerns the shipment for the United Water Supply Company of Georgia, I will coordinate with Ms. Ana Onashvili.
Thirdly, we would like to organize a joint visibility event together with the Donor Coordination Unit in which the Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia, Ms. Kai Kaarelson, would hand over the Estonian humanitarian aid. Perhaps we can organize a short presentation/speech part, some video footage of the shipment and interviews for media. However, we are open for your suggestions and preferences.
In the meantime, I wish you and your team health and much strength in managing those difficult tasks arisen with COVID-19.
Should you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me or Ms. Nino Karanadze (nino.karanadze@mfa.ee).
Kind regards,
Margus Gering
