Subject: Change in Georgia Portfolio Management - Introducing Tatiana Vinichenko
Your Excellency, Minister Sergeenko
Dear CCM Members, Principal Recipient, Partners and Colleagues
I am writing to inform you that I will shortly be moving to another team within the Global Fund and, starting from Monday, 3 June, Tatiana Vinichenko will take over the management
of the Global Fund’s Georgia portfolio.
Tatiana is a Senior Fund Portfolio Manager in the EECA team. She joined the Global Fund Secretariat in 2008 as a Senior Strategy and Policy Officer and moved to a Fund Portfolio Manager
position in 2012. Tatiana managed Azerbaijan, Moldova, regional EHRN, regional ECOM and regional TB-REP portfolios. She will continue to work with Kazakhstan portfolio and regional APH HIV “SOS” program.
Before joining the Global Fund Secretariat, Tatiana directed Project HOPE TB office in Tajikistan that served as a Principal Recipient for the Global Fund TB grant to the country.
Her other work in international health includes projects on building M&E systems for HIV/AIDS in Central Asia and on policy aspects of AIDS treatment of vulnerable groups in Russia. Tatiana holds a Medical Doctor degree from the Moscow Medical Academy and
a Master of Public Affairs degree (Development Studies) with Certificate in Health Policy from Princeton University in the United States.
Please join me in welcoming Tatiana to Georgia. Given her extensive experience both as a PR and within the Global Fund, I am certain the portfolio will be in excellent hands under
her management. Tatiana and I will be handing over the portfolio throughout the next week and I will remain available to support her as she familiarises herself with all issues.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for an extremely enriching experience and outstanding cooperation over the last two years. It has been a true honour to share
in your many successes and to support your creativity and dynamism. I have no doubt that I will continue to hear about your achievements – Georgia is a true champion in many respects and we all have a lot to learn from your approaches to finding new and sustainable
ways to overcome the challenges presented by HIV and TB in your country. I wish you all the very best in your continued work.
My contact information remains the same and I would be happy to hear from you anytime, particularly if you are visiting Geneva.
My warmest regards,
Gyongyi
