Subject: an update regarding the analytical unit

Dear Deputy Minister/Ms. Tamar Gabunia,

We greatly appreciate our discussions recently on the opportunities for strengthening the analytical unit capacity at the Ministry. Given the need to prioritize the COVID-19 recovery efforts, we suggest that this activity is postponed until 2021. This postponement will allow us more time to jointly develop the concept and plan the related work, especially given that the COVID-19 pandemic is dramatically changing the environment and corresponding needs.

We wish to express our sincere thanks to the Ministry for our continued partnership and we look forward to renewing our discussions on this activity in 2021.

My best regards,

Dr. Ghassan Khalil
