Dear Dr. Gabunia,

Thank you for your willingness to take time out of your schedule to talk to us about health systems and rehabilitation.

As mentioned, we are conducting regional consultations across the six WHO regions with a diverse stakeholder group. To help you orient to the topic areas that we intent to discuss during the telephonic interview, we share the broad questions that we will cover during the interview:

1.       How rehabilitation is understood both locally and within your field of expertise.

2.       What the current availability of rehabilitation resources looks like in your region/country.

3.       What your country needs in order to integrate or strengthen the rehabilitation system.

4.       The steps being taken at the government level to address those needs.

We do not anticipate any risks from participating in this study. You are not obligated to share anything that you do not want to share. You will neither directly benefit, nor be financially compensated, for participating in this interview. The information you provide will help to inform a research strategy for rehabilitation systems and inform decision-makers globally on this topic. This interview will be audio recorded; however, all of your responses will remain confidential.

This interview is anticipated to take approximate 1.5 hours.

Kindly let us know your availability for the interview. It would be great if you can share up to three available date and time (with time zone) slots for the interview. To account for difference in time zones, can you kindly share a time after 6:00 pm Georgia time? We will then confirm one of the date and time slots and will also share Zoom link to help you connect with us for the interview.

Please let us know in case of any questions.

We look forward to talking to you.

Thank you in advance for your time.

 Regards,

Nukhba and Georgia

Dear Dr. Gabunia,

I hope you have been doing well.

The Rehabilitation Unit and Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research at the World Health Organization, and the Johns Hopkins International Injury Research Unit, housed within the Health Systems program at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health are collaborating on a project to understand drivers related to integration and strengthening of rehabilitation within national and sub-national health systems. In this regard, we are conducting key informant interviews with stakeholders from across the six WHO regions.

With this email, you are being invited to participate in a key informant interview. Based on your willingness to participate, we will provide you with further details on the interview questions and process.

Please feel free to let us know in case of any questions.

Thank you in advance for your time.

Regards,

Nukhba and Georgia
