Dear Sarah
With this I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all colleagues at GAVI for continuous support during this challenging time. These days it is particularly important for us to maintain uninterrupted access to essential immunization services and provide adequate coverage in line with the national calendar. Would be helpful to hear how other countries handle this challenge.
Beside, GAVI’s advice would be much appreciated on improving access to flue and pneumococcal vaccination for the elderly to address health risks which become even more acute in the context of COVID19 epidemic.
I look forward to discussing these and other important areas to strengthen COVID 19response nationally and globally.
პატივისცემით,

Dear Colleagues
In this uncertain times, GAVI’s ability, as an alliance and a unique public-private partnership to have a critical impact on the challenges and disruption to routine immunisation, and to have role in ensuring access for a COVID 19 vaccine is clear.
We will be holding an All Chair’s group meeting next week, and in advance we have been asked to reach out to committee members to get your views on GAVI’s priorities, operations and governance. The agenda for the meeting is informal, but is an opportunity for us to share our perspectives on how things are moving, and what we think is important and of value to take forward.
Accordingly, I invite you to reach out, if you would like, to share messages with me that you would like me to share as messages from members of the Governance Committee. I invite you to either send an email, or indicate a time that would be useful to call, and we can speak in advance. I’ll share the outcomes of the discussion with you, and if there are particular governance concerns we could discuss at our next meeting.
I’d like to pass on my personal best wishes to you all, but particularly to Minister Feroz and Minister Gabunia, who are facing such challenging times with the impact of the pandemic and its response.
Best
Sarah
