Subject: Invitation to Participate in the Nutrition Policy Gap Analysis Study
Dear colleagues,
As part of UNICEF’s effort to support the Government of Georgia in improving the nutrition status of children, adolescents and their mothers, UNICEF is planning to conduct a Nutrition Policy Gap Analysis Study.
The aim of the study is to examine the regulatory environment in the field of maternal, young child and adolescent nutrition in Georgia and consequently contribute to developing a comprehensive nutrition agenda that would address nutrition needs and improve health and other indicators. The study will consist of a document review, including policies, strategies, and systems. It will also include interviews with key stakeholders in order to understand the implementation of nutrition interventions in the country, the roles and responsibilities of the various stakeholders, examine views, interpretations and understandings related to priorities and needs as well as perceptions around gaps and recommendations related to nutrition in the country.
Given your key role in the nutrition field in Georgia, we would like to kindly invite you to an interview with Dr. Linda Shaker Berbari, UNICEF International Consultant, and Dr. Nino Mirzikashvili - UNICEF local consultant. Your input and participation would be highly appreciated.
We would ask you to inform us about your availability and indicate a convenient time for you for the interview within the period of 17 February and 19 February 2020.
For further information, please refer to the attached “participant information sheet”, which also includes the suggested questions. The estimated time of the interview is 40 minutes.

როგორც თქვენთვის ცნობილია, გაეროს ბავშვთა ფონდი აქტიურად მუშაობს დედათა, ბავშვთა და მოზარდთა კვების საკითხების გაუმჯობესებაზე. ამ მანდატის ფარგლებში გაეროს ბავშვთა ფონდი გეგმავს კვლევას: „საქართველოში ნუტრიციოლოგიის პოლიტიკის სფეროში არსებული ხარვეზების ანალიზი.“
ამ კვლევის მიზანია საქართველოში დედათა, ბავშვთა და მოზარდთა კვების სფეროს მარეგულირებელი გარემოს შესწავლა და შედეგად ნუტრიციოლოგიის დარგში ყოვლისმომცველი დღის წესრიგის შემუშავების ხელშეწყობა, რომელიც უპასუხებს ნუტრიციის სფეროში არსებულ საჭიროებებს, გააუმჯობესებს ჯანმრთელობას და სხვა მაჩვენებლებს ქვეყანაში.
კვლევა მოიცავს დოკუმენტების მიმოხილვას, მათ შორის პოლიტიკის დოკუმენტების, სტრატეგიების და სისტემების ანალიზს. კვლევის ფარგლებში ჩატარდება ინტერვიუები დაინტერესებულ მხარეებთან, რათა შემდეგომ ეფექტურად მოხდეს ინტერვენციების დანერგვა და განხორციელება. მნიშვნელოვანია შევისწავლოთ მათი როლი და პასუხისმგებლობები, შეხედულებები ქვეყანაში კვების პრიორიტეტებთან და საჭიროებებთან დაკავშირებით, მოსაზრებები ქვეყანაში ნუტრიციოლოგიის სფეროში ხარვეზების შესახებ და ბოლოს მათ მიერ მოწოდებული რეკომენდაციები სფეროს განვითარებასთან დაკავშირებით.
გამომდინარე იქიდან, რომ თქვენ გაქვთ ძირითადი როლი ამ პროცესებში, კვლევაში თქვენი მონაწილეობა ჩვენთვის მეტად ღირებულია. ჩვენი სურვილია, რომ თქვენთან ჩავატაროთ ინტერვიუ, რომელსაც გაუძღვებიან დოქტორი ლინდა შაკერ ბარბარი - გაეროს ბავშვთა ფონდის საერთაშორისო კონსულტანტი და ნინო მირზიკაშვილთი- გაეროს ბავშვთა ფონდის ადგილობრივ კონსულტანტი.
გთხოვთ გვაცნობოთ თქვენთვის შესაფერი დრო 17-დან 19 თებერვლის ჩათვლით.
