Dear WHO Mission Focal points,
As you will recall, during the information session on Covid-19, which was held on Thursday, 19 March 2020, the Director-General indicated that he would like to extend an invitation to your respective Health Ministers to participate in the next virtual information session on Covid-19, scheduled to take place on Friday, 27 March 2020 from 12:00 to 14:00.
While recognizing the enormous demand on Health Ministers given their vital role in the national response to the Covid-19 outbreak, their participation in the information session would be welcome. This would offer an opportunity to get the latest updates on the current global situation and provide an opportunity to seek further information and/or clarification on WHO’s response as well as hear from other Member States.
In this regard, we would be grateful if you could transmit the attached Note Verbale to the Health Minister or Secretary of Health of your Country, together with the attached guidance for connection via ZOOM to participate in the meeting.
