Dear Ms. Tajik,

Based on your discussion with Bernard Colombo today we would like to emphasize once again that we are ready to work together with you and support your efforts in fighting with the COVID-19 pandemic. We would like to share with you our three-step approach in supporting COVID-19 and Blood Safety testing needs in Georgia with a long term perspective.

1. Step - High Quality qPCR Solution for COVID-19

We have already been providing high quality qPCR testing solutions through our distributor Mirco to NCDC. We will keep providing and make sure the testing is available in Georgia before and after we deliver cobas 6800.

2. Step - cobas 6800 instrument and tests for COVID-19

We will order 1 cobas 6800 instrument and hopefully deliver it in the upcoming few months, probably towards Q3 2020. We will make sure that both high quality qPCR tests and cobas 6800 tests are available in Georgia. This way we will be prioritizing and contributing in COVID-19 pandemic management.

3. Step - cobas 6800 instrument and tests for Blood Safety Solution

We would like to plan together the optimal Blood Safety Solution with the relevant stakeholders in the longer run. This might be feasible Q4-2020 or Q1-2021.

Please note that cobas 6800 instrument can also be utilized for other virology and microbiology testing (HCV, HBV, HIV, HPV, CT/NG, MTB) which we see as an opportunity to further contribute to public health in Georgia.

We kindly ask your comments and look forward to discussing these matters through a web meeting.

Kind regards,
