Dear Elizabeth
,
Hope this email finds you well;
I would like to seek your kind assistance in the following:
1. As you are aware, we have ordered 20,000 bottles of “MyHepAll” for the year 2020; So far, we have received 4000+5333 bottles and the rest is still to be received. We would like to kindly ask you to check the status of
the remaining 10,667 bottles and, kindly let me know by when can we expect the delivery.
2. The number of patients enrolled in the program has increased, reaching about 1300 per month. Because of the current situation(delay in provision) and the increase in the intensity of drug usage, 20000 bottles per anum
is not sufficient. Considering current use and the number of patients(as long as the numbers remain the same), starting from March 2020 till the end of the year (+3 months buffer) we estimate the need for 35,000 more bottles. Please kindly consider the projection
and above-mentioned details and in case of agreement, we will issue a partial order for 35,000 bottles.
Many thanks for your attention to my e-mail.
Tamar Gabunia
First Deputy Minister
Georgia
Hi Drs Tamar, Maia and Amiran,
I regret to inform you that I will soon be leaving Gilead, with my last day on February 28. This is sad for me as I will no longer be covering the caucuses and will miss our work in Georgia in particular. The HCV elimination project is one of the most impressive public health projects I have ever seen and I look forward to staying in touch and seeing how it progresses.
Aysan is still the medical affairs lead for the region and can be your primary point of contact for all matters of support except for supply. For the donation supply, please work with Liz Murray, copied here. She will take over ensuring that there are no disruptions in supply.
I’ll reach out separately with my personal contact details as I hope I will find my way back to Georgia soon.
Best,
Ben
