Dear Tamar,
Let me first of all thank you for ensuring the 2019 data on DRG grouping is shared with our experts. They’ve started the analysis immediately and we hope the whole DRG component of the mission report will be ready in about 2 weeks.
The preliminary analysis is showing a much better quality of grouping in 2019 in comparison with 2018.
As you know, the finalization of the strategic purchasing/selective contracting component is not possible until we organize a short follow-up mission and meetings with SSA leadership (presumably in January 2020).
Meanwhile, we finalized the PHC component of the report and I would like to share it with you immediately, as I hope you might find some good ideas in it.
The mission was quite short and as mentioned in the report itself, it is just about very preliminary findings and recommendations, still I find it useful. And I already agreed with our Almay Office to arrange for a more comprehensive mission
to assess PHC in early 2020 and we expect that will end up in much more solid recommendations.
For the time being we are sharing the report only with you. Please revise it within your team and let us know if any major discrepancies. For instance I noticed there are different figures related to coverage of population under the UHC
Programme…
After that you let me know if we share it with other partners or just keep it as an internal document.
Thank you and see you later today at PHC Board.
Silviu
