Dear Tamar,
I have a request related to our internal UN arrangements that we cannot fulfill without your support.
Within the UN system we have to nominate MEDEVAC coordinators who will deal with evacuation of UN personnel in case of need.
And in order to complete tasks assigned as part of the MEDEVAC preparedness phase the coordinators have to answer the following questions:
1. What are the rules to be applied for UN personnel if suspected for COVID-19? Will the local/general rules be applied or there are additional/different procedures/protocols?
2. Under which condition will the UN Personnel be in a position to get tested and where/how?
3. What is the current role of General Practitioners/family doctors in COVID-19 response/case management?
4. What are the conditions to get access to hospital care?
5. How many beds in ICU level 3 are available in the hospitals at country level?
6. Which 3 hospitals with ICU level 3 could be identified for UN personnel as potential clinics for admission?
I would appreciate you nominating a person in your team with whom we can discuss the above questions and we’ll get directly in contact.
Thank you in advance and best regards,
Silviu
