Sure, we can meet tomorrow at 9.30 if possible. I have the rest of the day fully booked. Would this work?

Dear Tamar,

Any possibility to have a follow-up short meeting (15 minutes) tomorrow or Friday first half?

We could discuss quickly and check the situation regarding next week’s mission and event, rehabilitation, mental health, Barcelona, Executive Board, etc.

Also another issue that appeared on the agenda is preparations for the European Immunization Week…

Thank you for considering this suggestion.

With best regards,

Silviu

Dear Silviu

Thanks again. We may nominate 2 candidates-Head of Policy Department and Head of Financial Department of MoLHSA. The web announcement indicates that the course is in English. Will there be any Russian language translation provided?

Best,

Tamar

Dear Tamar,

Contacting you now on another subject…

I just got information from Barcelona office that only Nana Kavtaradze from NCDC has applied for the forthcoming course on health financing…

It would be a pity if nobody from the ministry or SSA goes, especially as we could fully support financially.

Maybe you could encourage some key persons to apply? I agreed with them and they could make an exception if people from Georgia apply after the deadline.

Thank you and have a nice evening!

Silviu

Dear Silviu

Many thanks for your follow up on preparation with the EB meeting in Geneva. I will be travelling alone. However, the team from the Georgia’s Representation in Geneva will attend. I kindly ask Maia Nikoleishvili, a head of foreign relations unit of the ministry CC-ed here to provide details.

As for formal meetings with Regional Director and Director General, at this stage we do not have any special agenda to discuss in a separate meeting.

Any advice on your side which would help me to better prepare for the EB meeting would be appreciated.

With kind regards

პატივისცემით,

თამარ გაბუნია

მინისტრის პირველი მოადგილე

Sincerely,

Tamar Gabunia, MD, MPH

First Deputy Minister

Dear Tamar,

I am preparing some briefing files on Georgia for the Executive Board meeting.

Can you tell me at this stage, whether you go alone to EB, or there is going to be a bigger delegation representing Georgia. Anybody from the Georgia’s Representation in Geneva to attend?

Also, let me know in case you’d like to request a formal meeting with Regional Director, so that I can inform his team.

If you’d like to have a formal meeting with Director General, then the request should be sent through the Georgia’s Representation at UN in Geneva. But I would still appreciate knowing that in advance, as I’ll have to prepare a special briefing for Director General in that case.

You will in any case meet them informally, so such meetings are requested only in case you have a specific agenda for discussions that will need more time.

We could discuss further if needed.

Thank you and best regards,

Silviu
