Dear Silviu

Many thanks for your e-mail. We’ve purchased certain amount of items immediately after the Coronavirus threat was announced. However, based on the recent needs analyses more commodities are required to provide adequate response. Attached is the list of commodities and needed amount. I apologize this is in Georgian language.

We would appreciate any support that can be provided in this direction.

Dear Tamar,

You can see below a message reflecting the interest and potential support from UN agencies in procuring medical supplies/equipment for health care facilities.

As far as I know, there is no need in medical supplies/equipment for the time being.

If any stringent need, let me know please.

Thank you,

Silviu

Subject: stocks - supplies and equipment for novel corona virus

Dear Silviu,

Although we are aware that Georgia remains in the green zone/low risk of novel coronavirus and the government of Georgia through the support and guidance of the  WHO is performing all required measures for preparedness, there is question related to the availability of medical supplies/stocks and equipment at the targeted health care facilities. As a part of their internal preparedness actions agencies might have funds to procure required goods. For this to happen, if I may ask you to share the capacity assessment document that indicates the above-mentioned items. We could share it via DMCT channel and all the DMCT member agencies could contribute.

Thank you for the usual support and consideration,

Nino
