Dear Tamar,
On Friday I had a Skype call with the mission team.
They are finalizing the report and in my opinion it will be a good one, with important findings and useful recommendations.
At the same time, there are still some missing parts in it and I hope we can solve this and make it full and comprehensive, as our initial intention was.
The first missing element is related to DRGs.
This could be easily solved; the only thing we need is to get the 2019 data on DRG grouping results. If such data is provided, then our expert Kristina Kahur could finalize quickly the DRG component of the report from distance. As we understood
Mariana was checking with Maia the possibility of getting the data;
The second one is related to SSA.
During the mission it was not possible to meet the Director of SSA, neither the Deputy-director for health.
Andres Rannamae, who is working on this component is ready to come in a short follow-up visit for 1,5 days at the end of the month (26-27 November). This might be the best option, if only possible to organize the meetings missed. He would
like to meet the SSA leadership and provide a briefing on the work done so far and identify the needs in support for the next year. He would like also to meet Keti and Maia to discuss more on technical aspects.
Please let me know if the above is of interest for the ministry and if the mentioned requests are feasible.
We’ll then proceed with travel arrangements for the short follow-up visit of Andres.
Thank you and best regards,
Silviu
