Dear WHO Mission Focal points,

 

As noted at the Mission briefing held on 5 May 2020, an online tool has been created for delegations to inscribe on the list of speakers to deliver a statement at the virtual Seventy-third World Health Assembly. You will receive an email in the next few hours with a link to access the inscription form. After submitting the form, a confirmation email will be sent for you to access the list of speakers. Please note that you can inscribe only once.

 

As you are aware, the Director-General has extended an invitation to a number of high level guests, including Heads of State and Government, to participate in the Health Assembly and will speak at the opening ceremony. Per usual practice, regional statements (4 minutes) will be delivered before national statements (2 minutes).

 

In lieu of delivering a live statement, delegations may wish to submit a pre-recorded video statement and the script(if possible) no later than COB Thursday, 14 May 2020. The technical details for the video recording and how to upload it will be shared shortly.
