I hope you are having a good weekend and getting some rest – I am sure you need it!

 

We have managed to get our stranded colleagues back into Abkhazia successfully today, and I have had assurances from Sukhumi that everything is cleared and approved for the mission and our truck full of supplies on Tuesday. It is an interesting moment, as the df MFA is already publicizing the mission on Facebook and showcasing some equipment that was delivered yesterday.

 

I wanted to alert you that, as discussed with Vasily, I’ve arranged a meeting with the Minister of Health for Monday at 2:00 PM. She was keen to meet with the mission team before we depart, and said she would bring along her key staff. The State Minister for Reconciliation would also appreciate joining the meeting, which we think is an excellent idea. So does this fit your schedule?

 

Please let me know ASAP and also whether all the experts will participate, as I need to submit the names to her office.

 

Apparently this is the only time she is available before we leave, so I’m keeping fingers crossed.
