Dear Tamar,

 

In preparation for a potential VC between our Regional Director and the ministries in 6 Eastern partnership countries, please let me know if you have in mind any “hot topics” to discuss and I will ask our regional office to include in the agenda.

 

First things coming to my mind are related to potential WHO support in the procurement of vital supplies (test kits, PPEs, clinical equipment…), training of clinical and lab personnel, assistance in addressing the stringent issues in the break-away regions, participation in Solidarity trial (for treatment options) and seroepidemiological trials (for testing), overall guidance during the transition to new normal…

Dear Colleagues,

 

as you may be aware, RD is conducting on regular or ad hoc basis VCs with groups of countries (such as CAR+RF, Nordic countries, Vishegrad 4 countries, Baltic countries, Western Balkan countries and similar) and he has advise SRC to explore of having very soon a VC with Eastern Partnership countries that you are covering.

 

I am writing to you at this stage to explore the so called “hot topics” that you considers would be of interest for your Ministers to be presented at this VC.

Please inform us as soon as possible and we will discuss them with the WHE team who is always engaged in those VCs with theirs input and after that present to RD for his clearance.
