Upon request of HTP RM a.i. Dr. Sarah Garner I share with you the below and attached information.
The WHO Webinar is organized by our HQ colleagues to raise awareness about ensuring blood supply and safety, even during emergency situations such as the current COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, collection and use of COVID-19 Convalescent
Plasma (CP) will also be presented to address current situation where more and more countries are conducting clinical trials on COVID-19 CP use for treatment.
Please share this information with national counterparts encouraging them to participate.
With this letter I would kindly ask you to inform national counterparts that HTP is updating database of the national focal points dealing with blood, blood products, stem cells and transplantation.
This extremely important area of collaboration for several years was out of EURO focus and needs to be revitalized.
