Dear all,

Hope this email finds you well.

In preparation for our meeting this Friday I’d like to circulate the draft document for your kind consideration and to stimulate brainstorming already. You will see that a lot still needs to be done, but I guess you get the idea. With regard to classification of professional levels I need your input and any other feedback.

I have another meeting before and hope to make it in time for 6pm on Friday, but please start the discussion already and putting together the information regrading the different levels as this is needed for the different standards. Please feel free to contact me in case of question and I shall be looking forward to meeting you all on Friday!

Kind regards,

Dear Natia,

Many thanks for this document. I think it is a great reminder where we actually wanna go! And as a great co-incidence, two of our colleagues, Keti and Tatia, just attended a round table discussion in Poland with various national association and the Polish Chamber of Physiotherapy so I believe they are more than happy to pursue further contacts and experience sharing.

I am currently updating our document and will circulate it well before our next meeting so everybody gets a chance to review, think about it, comment and develop further.

For our colleagues you were not able to participate in our last meeting...we actually agreed on some sort of key areas for rehabilitation professionals that now need to be developed further and broken down to different levels of education, I.e. bachelor, master etc.

Last but not least I want to remind you on our next meeting on Friday, 4th October, at 6 pm at TSMU Teaching Building room 306. It’s going to be crucial as we need to agree on the framework, so I encourage all of you to participate!

Kind regards,

Dear all,

Welcome to our newest members; I am really glad that we have now representatives from all three main rehabilitation specialisations on board (I.e. PT, OT, speech and language). That makes our work do much stronger.

I will also attach the draft again for everybody’s’ reference as well as a short excel table where we started to summarize the main areas of competencies...I will introduce the document on Friday as well and we continue the discussion and distribution of tasks.

Keti can also quickly introduce the GAPTAR document and also if the other professional associations have some drafts please email and we can introduce it as well.

Looking forward to seeing all of you!

Dear,

Hope this email finds you well!

I would like to inform you that the next meeting of the TWG on professional standards will take place on Friday, 26th July at 6 pm at TSMU Teaching Building room 306.

We will go through some international documents where we identified already common themes and competencies already and can go for cross-validation. Furthermore GAPTAR can introduce the work they have already done in that field, which will help us even further.

Hope to see you all next week. Meanwhile please do not hesitate to get back to me with further ideas, comments and input. And as usual, if you know other people that are interested to join please just pass the message along.

Wish you all a very nice evening,

Dear all,

Hope this email finds you well!

Please find in attachment the document related to the work we just started. I would be glad to receive your feedback and recommendations to this working paper (please keep in mind that is an ongoing work in progress and we will update the document as we move along).

As you can see we are currently in step 1, i.e. identification of relevant international documents (from WCPT, WFOT, other countries, etc) and it would be great to get them circulated before the next meeting so we all get familiar with them and keep thinking about common themes already.

Thank you very much and I am looking forward hearing from all of you soon! It is a very exciting work we started to be engaged with and this is the moment to influence and shape the future of physical rehabilitation in Georgia.

Dear all,

Many thanks for your feedback and apologies for my late reply! I thing the biggest challenge will be to find a common time to meet and discuss. I therefore propose 3 dates for next week and the one where the majority can make it we are going to have the first meeting and take it from there. Hope this makes sense. And please note that it doesn’t mean that other people will not be able to participate just because you cannot make it to the first meeting! We will have many more coming over the next months and we will need all your kind support and contribution!

1.      Tuesday 28 May 10 am

2.      Thursday 30 May 11 am

3.      Friday 31 May 5.30 pm

Many thanks for your feedback and please feel free to forward the email to anybody who may think of who would be a valuable contribution to the group! The more the merrier!

Have a nice evening,

Dear Nino,

Thank you very much for your feedback! You are very right that we really need to unite for this issue and design a common strategy for the country and the rehab sector! No worries, there will be future meetings and we will try to find a time that suits most of you so as many people as possible can join!

So I actually put out the question here...is Friday a good day for most of you and if so better mornings or afternoons?

Many thanks for your feedback and have a nice day,

Dear Sabina,

Thank you for your invitation,

Unfortunately for whole week (except Friday) I have rigid schedule till 7:00, thus not able to join first meeting.

If one of the main theme is university program accreditation and professional standards in the country, probably its important to have all rehabilitation specialists program/association representatives participating in the process.

Wish to have fruitful meeting and

looking forward for next meetings to join,

Best regards,

Nino

Dear Sabina,
Thanks for pushing forward working group process. As I am member of this working group and I got a chance to attend WCPT congress 2019, I specially participated in the discussions regarding professional standards there.
I am also busy for the next week, we are going to the business trip to Zugdidi and this week also is quite busy for me as we have full day training at PFID.

I am able just from 17:00 for Friday and I can be able to come to TSMU at 18:00 if it is not too late time for others to meet.

Dear all,

Hope this email finds you well!

I am very glad to announce that finally the technical working groups in collaboration with the Ministry are about to kick start, tackling various topics that have been identified as an important work in order to take physical rehabilitation further in Georgia.

One topic is related to ‘Professional standards/regulations for existing rehabilitation professionals  and accreditation requirements for university programs’.

You all are important representatives of your respective professions, associations and faculties and I want to invite you to participate actively in the group to design professional standards and regulations, competencies and future plans to eventually establish a license system in Georgia for physical rehabilitation professionals.

I’d like to propose an initial meeting next week on Wednesday, at 2 pm at the TSMU. Please feel free to propose a different day and time so that we can get all together (please note that Monday I will be out all day in Kutaisi). A representative from the Ministry of Health and Education will join us soon, but it will be good to put some ground work in place already!

Really looking forward to get the group up and running! Please feel free to get back to me in case of further questions!
