The report of Gavi CEO Dr. Seth Berkley has become available and I am pleased to circulate it for your information and possibile comments ahead of the virtual Board meeting.
This time the report describes the success of the Gavi’s third donor pledging conference, the virtual Global Vaccine Summit 2020 that took place on the 4th of June 2020.
The Global Vaccine Summit 2020 was also the launch pad for the new COVID-19 Global Vaccine Access Facility (COVAX Facility). Among other items, the report includes a short update of the current situation and outlines the future path and role of Gavi in achieving the global goals set.
