Dear Nika
Many thanks for your e-mail and follow up on the draft Strategic Purchasing Strategy. We had the strategy draft ready for approval in May. However, due to additional consultations
within the ministry and the Government administration the decision was made to incorporate SPS strategy objectives and activities into the health care strategy document that is currently being elaborated with EC TA. This would allow for avoiding unnecessary
duplication in between various strategy documents.
I would also like to emphasize that many of the activities outlined in the SPS strategy draft (attached to this e-mail for easy reference) are already being implemented.
Major revisions anticipated in the near future in support to strategic purchasing includes (1) amendments in Governmental resolution #36 on selective contracting of primary care providers in Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi ( amendments in progress will be adopted
late December or early January) (2) introducing unified tariffs for cardiac surgery and critical medicine (Governmental Resolution 520 as of November 6th 2019) (3) SSA Reorganization to be completed in December (4) new requirements for health care
facilities delivery cardiac surgery – to be adopted in late December or early January (5) amendments are being prepared on Chronic disease management drug provision program for the New Year 2020 Program.
Should you have additional questions or require clarification please kindly let me know.
პატივისცემით,
