Thank you very much for nomination of the Ministry staff as counterparts for this contract. I welcome Ms Adamia and Mr Chavchavadze  and would be interested to meeting new colleagues  in the nearest future – in early February as soon as I am back from the mission to Brussels (will be absent next week). Dear Nika

Many thanks for your e-mail and follow up on this. The work on organ transplantation is still on its early stage and I see an obvious need for additional technical input from international experts. Dr. Eka Adamia will be in charge for technical coordination. CC-ed on this e-mail is also a new head of the policy department Mr. Gia Chavchavadze.

May I also ask what is the status regarding hiring local consultants? Would be helpful to have them onboard ASAP and we can then plan for the next mission.

Dear Nika and Natia,

I hope you are doing well and I hope that this point of January still allows me to wish you a happy kick-off of the New Year!

I would like to come back to our TAIEX file that we kept pending from the series of events which were requested on harmonising the national legislation on organ transplantation. We spoke before that this final mission could complement the TA which had just started.

There were a number of experts who have showed their interest previously in participating in the mission, but, in order to engage any, we would need to more precisely know what topic and area you suggest to cover with the last mission. If you, at this point, think that TA sufficiently covers all areas of your interest and the TAIEX mission is no longer needed, please let me know and we will cancel the request, leaving the opportunity for the Ministry of Health to apply in the future for any other TAIEX assistance.
