Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ondrej Nadvornik and I am writing to you as a Country Director of People in Need, and international relief and development  NGO based in the Czech Republic https://www.clovekvtisni.cz/en/ People in Need has been active in Georgia since 2005, implementing projects supporting economic and social development, funded mainly by EU and by Czech Development Cooperation Program.

My colleague recently discussed with Meri Maghlapheridze possibilities of cooperation. Currently the Czech Development Agency is considering to support Georgia in its efforts to improve the Mental Health Care System, most likely with a focus on persons living in residential institutions. Our organization has been active in this field in other countries such as Moldova, Serbia, Bosnia and Hercegovina. I would therefore like to request a meeting with you to discuss the most recent plans and priorities of your office in this field and possibility of cooperation.

We are also cooperating with European agencies active in this direction, such as the European Expert Group on De-institutionalization, which will hold its next meeting in Brussels in October, with a focus on the topic of Mental Health Care Reforms. This could be a good opportunity also to bring Georgian experience.
