In the context of work on a bilateral agreement with Georgia in the field of employment, it should be emphasized that advanced works on Poland's migration policy are underway (coordination of the Ministry of Interior and Administration), which will also define guidelines for both instruments (one of them may be a bilateral agreement) regarding foreigners' access to the Polish labor market as well as the preferred directions of the influx of foreigners and the development of cooperation with third countries.

At this stage, it would be premature for us to speak on the merits of starting work on signing a government contract with the Georgian side. In the second place, taking such a decision, one should take into account the real and potential interest of Georgian citizens to work in Poland and to analyze the potential migration risk associated with increasing the inflow from this direction.

It is only at a later stage that the text of the agreement sent by the Georgian side should be looked at, the proposed solutions should be evaluated in technical terms and negotiations should begin on its final shape.

They also stressed that sending comments to the agreement is not tantamount to commencement of works aimed at signing the agreement. At the same time, it should be emphasized that Georgia already belongs to a selected group of 6 countries to which access to the Polish labor market is facilitated (work on the basis of declaration).
