Dear colleagues -

Please find attached a summary note from Friday’s meeting to discuss possibly cancelling and repurposing un-disbursed and un-committed resources from the government’s World bank portfolio to fund the COVID-19 response.  Please do follow-up with your respective teams and revert back to us ASAP should you wish to pursue this avenue.  As highlighted, we do see some opportunities, albeit on a limited scale (~ 25m), to make resources available within a relatively quick timeframe. On the other hand, with the AIIB now very likely co-financing the Health and Social Protection project and possibly other future projects (e.g. Log-in Georgia; the Kakhetti Mobility/ Roads project) these restructurings may no longer be needed.

We stand ready to support either way!

Kind regards,

Sebastian
