Dear Ms. Barkalaia,

Thank you for a nice meeting today. I’m very happy to see there have been positive progress within the Ministry and to have received the updated information and your future direction. I hope we will continue to have a fruitful cooperation.

As we discussed during the meeting, I’m sharing with you the Refugee Law Course in San Remo with a special focus on the Global Compact on Refugees (GCR) of 21-26 October.

The Course will be offered in English and will cover the principles, objectives, and the programme of action set by the GCR, as well as the comprehensive refugee response framework, which forms an integral part of the compact. The Course will allow participants to strengthen their teaching skills and capacity to develop customized training modules through sessions devoted to learning methodologies, focusing on content that conforms to the key elements of the GCR. Please see the attached details.

You will see that the target audience is a representative of national training institute, however, I believe your role in advocating GCR and its principles among the Government of Georgia is important; and thus, your profile / role will fit for this course.

You are requested to fill the application form through the the IIHL website under application (Registration Form). Please ask for a scholarship while UNHCR Georgia will support your participating in case you are not granted scholarship from the Institutions/UNHCR HQ. Please also indicate my name, title and email/contact details in the application with statement that UNHCR Georgia wishes and supports your participation in the course.

Best regards,

Yoko
