Dear Deputy Ministers, Steering Committee Members
I am writing to confirm that the Second Meeting of the Steering Committee of the Skills4Jobs Phase 2 TA Project will be held at
16.30 on Friday 29th May 2020. The meeting will last one hour. The agenda is attached, and a link for the online meeting will be sent by separate email from the MoESCS.
The purpose of the meeting is to:
a)
Briefly present the results of consultations with the EU ROM Eastern Partnership quality assurance team on the Log Frame and draft Inception Report and the revisions made in response to their advice (see revised Log Frame and Inception
Report attached);
b)
Present information on progress made in implementing project activities during the coronavirus lockdown period;
c)
Consider any changes to project planning and activity scheduling necessitated by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Copies of two PowerPoint presentations (for agenda items b) and c) above) and an Excel table setting out the revised activities schedule will be sent by separate email prior to the meeting.
As I explained in my previous email to project beneficiaries with advance notice of the meeting, there is no six-monthly progress report for presentation at this meeting. Although the de facto starting date of
the project was in October 2019 and it had been assumed that a six-monthly progress report would have been due for presentation to the Steering Committee in April 2020, we have been advised that, because the contract was actually signed in August 2019, the
first six-monthly period is considered to have ended in February, just after the First Steering Committee meeting. A six-monthly progress report (covering the period March to August 2020) will therefore be due for presentation to the Steering Committee in
September.
Yours sincerely,
DAVID HANDLEY
