I wanted to inform you that we are soon hosting a very experienced international child protection expert who will be helping us (Georgia) to conceptualize the child protection system as it is stipulated by the new code of the rights of
the child, to develop a roadmap of transformation from the existing system and in addition to develop a new case management processes for social workers. Later on, we hope to recruit a local consultant who will be transforming this work into normative documents,
such as standard operational procedures, or other.
Ms. Helen Jones’s inception visit to Georgia is planned for February 3-7. She will be meeting all decision makers, major stakeholders and together with all of us will be fulfilling her tasks. As the Ministry of IDP, Labor, Health and Social
Affairs and the ATIP Fund is in the core of this transformation, we wanted to request your meeting with Helen. We wanted to propose Tuesday, February 4th 10 am, however any time on Tuesday, Thursday or Friday will work.
