ject: Interview Request for Evaluation of UNICEF's contribution to Georgia E-Health Information System

Dear Tamar Barkalaia,

I have been contracted by UNICEF Georgia to conduct an external evaluation of UNICEF’s contribution to Georgia’s E-Health Information Management System (E-HIMS), including development of the computer-based Birth Registry, Immunization Modules, and other modules relevant to children age 0-6 and that help to link vulnerable families to needed services.

UNICEF Georgia provided me with your email because you have been identified as a key stakeholder/partner who has knowledge of UNICEF’s contribution to Georgia’s E-HIMS. I am hoping that you would have the time and be willing to participate in a Skype interview regarding UNICEF’s contribution to the E-HIMS and one or more of the abovementioned modules.

As part of the external evaluation and Skype interview, I have a series of questions that I would like to ask you related to relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and/or sustainability of UNICEF’s contribution to the E-HIMS and the modules. I recognize that you may not be able to speak to each of the issues, so I can focus only on those that you have knowledge and perspective.

I would like to set up a date and time for the Skype interview that is convenient for you. I am located in the United States (Eastern Time Zone), so maybe we can schedule 45-60 minute Skype interview between 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm (Tbilisi time). If a Skype interview is not convenient for you, I can work with you to arrange a face-to-face interview with the national evaluator, Ms. Nelly Dolidze (she is also able to conduct interviews in Georgian).

I would like to schedule the interview as soon as possible, at your early convenience. Let me know what day and time works best for you.

My Skype address is: robin.haarr

It is important to note that you are guaranteed confidentiality and anonymity if you agree to participate in a Skype interview; no individual’s names or organization names will be used in the evaluation report.

Kind regards,

Prof. Robin Haarr, PhD
