Dear Tamila,
it was great pleasure meeting you briefly today! We are very glad that you would be able to take part in the launch.
Given the focus of the presentation (costing for family friendly policies and services in Georgia), would you recommend a member of the parliament, who may be
interested in the issue to also take part in the opening? Maybe someone for Health Care and Social Issues Committee? Ot from budget Committee?
Thnak you for your kind advise,
e

Dear Deputy Minister, Dear Tamila:
UN Women is bi-annually presenting its global flagship The Progress of the World’s Women report, thematic investigation of women's rights, seeks to spur change in laws, policies and programmes, creating an enabling environment for women and girls to realize their rights. The 2019-2020 edition of the progress report takes a close look at families in a changing world. While the progress report covers numerous topics and offers a variety of findings to inform policy design and policymaking, the event will also specifically focus on the results of costing a package of family-friendly transfers and services. In addition to presenting the findings at the global and regional level, the presentation will also zoom in on the study results for Georgia, which can feed into discussions on the introduction of family-friendly policies in Georgia.
It would be a great privilege, if you kindly accept participation in the lauch of the report in Georgia, which will take place on 14th November. Please, fid attached a more detailed concept note, including the names of presenters from UN Women HQ and ILO Geneva.
Looking forward to your feedback,
Erika
