Following on Tamar’s message below, I would like to inform you that ILO and UN Women are organizing a half a day workshop (30 people max)on the 24^th of January to present the following:

- Social Protection Floor Recommendation 202 (2012) and links with Social Security (Minimum Standards) Convention, 1952 (No.102)

- To discuss the lifecycle approach to social protection;

- To discuss gender perspectives in social protection;

- To discuss the problems and issues of the existing social protection programmes, using the lifecycle approach; and 

- To analyse the gaps between existing social protection policies of needs and international standards

The sessions will be presented by our international consultant from the UK, MS. Shea McClanahan and Ms. Jasmina Papa from ILO.

We would be honoured if you can attend and make an opening statement as well as discussing the national policies/plans on social protection.

In the framework of the DANIDA project we support the assessment and rapid costing of the Social Protection Floor in Georgia. Explanatory mission is organized in the week of January 20.

We would like to request a meeting with you  on 20 January at 13:00, the meeting points are about the public employment services, employment insurance and to get latest trends, statistics. The meeting will be facilitated by Ms. Jasmina Papa- Social Protection Specialist, ILO and Ms. Shea McClanahan- Sr. Social Protection Specialist-expert, Mr. Kinan Bahnassi- CTA, ILO
