Dear Colleagues,
This is to inform you that a Pre Fact-finding Mission for the ADB proposed Modern Skills for Better Jobs Sector Development Program (the program) in Georgia is taking place from 23−30 June 2020. The Mission will be conducted remotely given restrictions entailed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The objectives of the Pre Fact-finding Mission are to (i) meet with Government of Georgia officials, including the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport; Ministry of Finance to discuss the draft design of the proposed program and all aspects of program administration, including policy matrix, selected schools and VET colleges, concept notes for all major directions, project arrangements and overall implementation plan; (ii) review and agree with Government of Georgia on key milestones and timelines for program preparation; (iii) meet with development partners as well as private sector representatives to outline the draft design of the program; (iv) meet the representatives of the selected vocational education and training institutes; and (v) discuss the proposed program with the Country Director and staff of the Georgia Resident Mission.
Mission members will be Mr. Norman LaRocque, Principal Education Specialist/Mission Leader, Social Sector Division (CWSS), Central and West Asia Department (CWRD), Mr. Thomas Robinson, Procurement Specialist, CWRD, Ma. Isabel Martin, Project Officer, CWSS, and Ms. Tamar Tsiklauri, Project Analyst, ADB Georgia Resident Mission.
We would like to invite you to an Online Workshop where the Mission Team will present the program design (including major directions, program implementation arrangements) with the representatives of the State Agencies - Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs, Education and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency (ESIDA) under the MOESCS, Enterprise Georgia, and Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency.
The workshop will be organized on June 25th at 15:00-17:00 (Tbilisi time) in a distance mode.
We will be sharing a link of the online meeting later once we get a confirmation of your attendance.
