Dear Maia,
As I am sure you are aware, the WHO Office for the Prevention of Hearing Loss and Deafness accomplished a great deal in the last two years in support of the World Health Assembly Resolution (WHA 70.13) adopted in May of 2017. At the WHA assembly later this month, the first Progress Report on this WHA Resolution will be presented to the 2019 World Health Assembly.
Please find attached a letter from Dr. Susan Emmett, Chair of the Advocacy Committee for the Coalition for Global Hearing Health, asking that you request the Georgian Ministry of Health WHA Representative to speak in support of this important report at the upcoming World Health Assembly.
I have listed the contact information for the WHO Office in your country below. It would be very helpful if you could inform the Ministry of current actions and specific challenges in your country that are relevant to the WHA Resolution and the importance of hearing healthcare as a public health priority.
The WHO Representative and Head of Country Office
Domente, Dr Silviu

I would also invite you to attend the 10th Annual Conference of the Coalition for Global Hearing Health in Tempe, Arizona on Oct 26-27th, where we will discuss the WHO Actions and ways that we can collectively support this essential work.
