Dear Lika,

Our expert Mr Jozef Toman ( Director of the Labour relations Department of the Slovak Ministry of Labour)  has prepared some short remarks and a very simple calculation as regards the maternity leave and has provided a leaflet regarding  the current situation in maternity and paternity leave situation in the Member States. Since we have no other information available, he took into calculation only average salary data  from the Geostat, which can be done by whoever, this is only very simple estimation. However, in order to provide much more detailed, qualified  and analytical information, another expert who is in charge of  social  benefits in the Slovak Ministry of Labour can come within 2 weeks. However, in order to provide you a professional document  I would need from your side a person who would provide us the relevant statistical data and information about the systems covering those benefits/allowances (insurance, state budget, etc.). The best would be to talk with someone from here who was in charge of that issue  until now and to discuss what kind of data should be provided in advance and to get relevant information to provide you the best solutions you are requesting. Can you please check with Tamuna?

Best regards,

Valeria
