Subject: Integration WG of 30-31 May 2018 @ Gudauri: Minutes & Working table
Dear Deputy Minister Ms. Tamar Barkalaia,
I hope you had a nice Easter celebration.
As promised, I’m sharing with you the minutes and work table of the Integration WG meeting which took place on 30-31 May in Gudauri. I also attached the agenda. You will find the participants in the minutes as well.
While the meeting did not yet manage to produce the action plan for the integration, it created the cooperative atmosphere among the various ministries / departments. As we discussed, we will still need to establish the framework for the
integration as well as the associated national action plan under the State Commission of Migration Issues / State Migration Strategy. These documents can be useful as a basis to develop the action plan.
I’m very much interested in developing ideas to promote employment and to enhance WorkNet, and in sharing my ideas with you and your colleagues (including the fundraising possibilities). I will be grateful if we can further discuss with
your colleagues and work closely in this area.
Further, I’m pleased to confirm our support in capacity building of the newly recruited colleagues at your Ministry regarding refugee / stateless protection and their integration related issues. We can meet further to discuss with your
colleagues.
Last, but not least … It would be highly appreciated if you could designate your colleague whom we can further communicate and follow up on a number of issues including those indicated above.
Thank you for your continuous cooperation. I look forward to working with you closely in the furture.
Best regards,
Yoko
