Subject: Great thanks for meeting with us (MIDPHLSA & UNHCR Meeting)
Dear Elza,
I hope you are doing well and please allow me to express our deepest appreciation for your time and efforts made in meeting with us last week. Sorry for belated response as some colliding issues had prevented me to write immediately after our meeting. As we discussed, let me share with you the summary of Integration WG Meeting in Gudauri 30—31 May 2018 along with UNHCR/OECD 10 points action plan for employers, refugees, governments and civil society. I am also sharing the Policy Guide to Entrepreneurship for Migrants and Refugees and A guide to Market-Based Livelihood Interventions for refugees, which I hope you could find useful. I am also attaching the agenda from the joint UNHCR/OSCE-ODHIR training of Integration of Persons Granted Integrational Protection in Georgia, which George had attended to represent your ministry and had briefed you about topics discussed.
As it was agreed there is a need for joint MIDPLHSA/UNHCR efforts in amending the Action Plan for Integration of SCMI in order to ensure that it well reflects the priorities, along with required financial resources. Could you kindly advise on whom should be considered as a chairman of the Integration WG component, which is now with your respectful Ministry.
Let me also once again thank you for kind suggestion to discuss and provide our joint comments on ICMPD study on foreigners integration in order to ensure that it well reflects the situation with regard to the persons of concern to UNHCR and we are standing ready to support on that.
As we discussed during the meeting, it would be highly appreciated if you could kindly provide a name of your colleague whom we consider for our CBI Commission.
In giving consideration to the time required for launching a call and selection of NGO for running an Integration Center, we have further discussed it with Johannes who had agreed to consider establishment of the mini-scale PPA with Public Advocacy for the period 4-6 month to allow most effective and impact oriented integration activities to continue. Thus, let’s agree on the most suitable time for a tripartite meeting Ministry, Public Advocacy and us in order to discuss the details of the mini-scale PPA.
Please allow me to benefit from this correspondence and also thank Nino for sharing amendments of the Law on Integration.
I copy Parvina and George who were part of our meeting and to ensure that you are having their e-mail addresses.
Best regards.
Marat
