Dear Tamar,
Sorry for disturbing with this… not directly linked to our collaboration.
They asked me to check the information about pensions schemes in place in Georgia, but I have no idea.
Could you please have a quick look at the short paragraph mentioning Georgia on page 31 and let me know if that’s OK to be published?
Or, please re-direct me to anybody else in the ministry who could help with clarifying that.
Thanks a lot!
With best regards,
Silviu

Message sent on behalf of Dr Joana Madureira Lima
Dear Silviu,
Please find attached for your consideration a policy brief titled: “COVID19 and Social Protection in Europe and Central Asia: An opportunity to expand and strengthen existing social protection mechanisms to safeguard health, well-being and livelihoods, leaving no one behind. “
Your country is mentioned on page 31. Therefore, we would like to ask you to check the document for accuracy.
We would be grateful if you could do so by 30 April 2020 and return your comments to jlima@who.int .
The Aims of the brief are to support UN country teams with evidence and policy options in their COVID19 transition and recovery plans for the short and long term. It also addresses the vulnerabilities in social protection systems, including health protection which have been exposed by the COVID19 crisis. It gives practical recommendations and examples of the role of social protection to ensure that no one is left behind in the recovery. This brief is a joint Issue Based Coalition publication, led by WHO Euro (Venice Office). The 3 main agencies collaborating on the publication are: WHO, ILO & UNICEF.
We look forward to your input.
Sincerely,
Dr Joana Madureira Lima
