Dear Deputy Minister

Further to my email of yesterday which mainly concerned changes to the project log frame, I am now writing to request a Skype meeting to discuss some issues concerning project implementation planning during the current circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, we would like to discuss making some revisions to the schedule for implementing various activities in the light of the current requirements for self-isolation and home-working and travel restrictions, which prevent us at the current time from bringing experts from other countries.

Heinrich Duffner has already discussed some of the implications with Nino Veltauri, in particular re-scheduling the training activities which were due to start this month, and which are now inevitably subject to some delay. He is proposing some adjustments to the Component 4 Implementation Timetable  (set out in the attachment), and we would like to include them in our discussion.

The meeting does not have to be a long one, but our aim is to agree on exactly what needs to be done in the next six months or so of project implementation and how we can best work together in the current circumstances. I confirm that we will be available for a Skype meeting at your convenience, and I look forward to your suggestion of a day/time that will suit you.

With best wishes

David
