Dear Miranda,

Thank you for the confirmation and the proposed location for the meeting. However, as we need to ensure the technical connection with our consultant Helen from London, as well as interpretation, we think it is better to have it within UNICEF’s office. Hope it is not much of inconvenience for you.

Kind regards,

Milena

Subject: discussion of draft report from international consultant on case management system in Georgia

Dear colleagues,

As you know, UNICEF contracted an international consultant to develop a case management process map, standards for intersectoral cooperation and a road map for transformation of the child protection system and align it with the provisions of the Code on the Rights of the Child. I believe many of you met personally Helen Jones during her mission to Georgia 2 weeks ago. I am glad to share with you the 0 draft report, which will be the basis for development of a training package for all involved institutions as requested by the Parliament of Georgia.

The report outlines main steps in case management and proposes relevant structures in Georgia to be responsible for each step. Within a couple of days we would be able to share a simple map, which illustrates the suggested process. We are also in a process of translating the report into Georgian and will share it as soon as it is available.

Before proceeding further, we would like to discuss with all of you the proposed process and reach agreement on a number of open points outlined in the report.

With this message, I kindly invite you to a working meeting to discuss the report and proposed case management process and roles of different agencies (municipal and Government). Given the relative urgency, we suggest the meeting to take place on Tuesday 10.03 from 14 to 17 in UNICEF office.

We very much hope that proposed time is suitable for you. In case not, please suggest alternative time slot.

With kind regards,

Milena Harizanova
