Dear Ms. Barkalaia,
I hope this email finds you well.
I am reaching out to share with you a concept note related to a hotline designed to address problems of adolescents and young people during COVID-19, focusing on adolescents’ gambling and substance
abuse. This concept note has been developed by UNICEF in close collaboration with the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee of the Parliament, under the leadership of Ms. Sopo Kiladze.
The aim of the hotline is to provide psychosocial support to adolescents and young people with focus on substance abuse and online gambling.
We suggest the hotline to be implemented and managed by the LEPL Agency for State Care and Assistance for the (Statutory) Victims of Human Trafficking under the Ministry of Internally Displaced
Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs, in cooperation with the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee of the Parliament of Georgia and UNICEF Georgia Country Office.
Please find attached the Concept Note of the Hotline for your kind consideration and I would like to suggest a Zoom meeting to discuss this very important project for Adolescents at your earliest
convenience, and which UNICEF is ready to support.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you and best regards,
Ghassan
