Dear Ms. Barkalaia,
Hopefully my email finds you in good health.
I just want to make sure that we plan coherently:
Ms. Burkert starts working in your department for labour and employment policy, in the unit of labour migration, from January 20th onwards.
Is this date suitable for you?
Ms. Burkert raised the question of paid leave days again (see my email below). Does it seem possible for you to have an attachment to her future contract with your
ministry, stating 30 days of paid leave per annum?
I am very much looking forward to receive your reply, as I would like to finalize all preparatory procedures of the placement as soon as possible.
Yours sincerely,
Petra Shakya

Betreff: update: placement of Integrated Expert
Dear Ms. Barkalaia,
I hope you had a pleasant summer break.
I would like to take the opportunity to update you on the process of the placement of the Integrated Expert. Although we had envisaged that Ms. Burkert starts working
in MoH from this September onwards, this is unfortunately not possible due to internal procedures. Still, Ms. Burkert applied for her leave of absence with her present employer, which we expect to be issued from the 1st of December onwards. Ms.
Burkert will attend a couple of preparatory courses here in Germany until the mid of January.
Our timetable foresees that she is ready to start at MoH by the 20th of January.
Is this plan suitable for you?
An issue which Ms. Burkert requested me to raise with you is the following: The number of days of paid leave is 24 according to national labor law in Georgia. Ms.
Burkert is very much interested, of course, not to have less days of paid leave than with her present employer, which guarantees 30 days of paid leave according to German labor law. I hope for your understanding and would appreciate if you could send me your
consent on this.
One more question from my side is whether the position of head of department has been filled in the meantime?
I am looking forward to hearing from you and remain sincerely yours,
Petra Shakya
