Framework Convention on Tobacco Control 2030 A) Objective: To help countries achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by strengthening the implementation of the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control. B) Project implementation: One of the main activities of FCTC 2030 is the development of the so-called "investment case", which includes the collection of data at the country level with the participation of the United Nations Development Programme, international experts from WHO and the UN country team, as well as the identification of the economic burden of tobacco, the identification of priorities in the implementation of priority activities under the the agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals and the assessment of the cost of inaction. The activities and a detailed strategic plan were developed and agreed upon within the framework of the project. The strategy of the "Framework Convention on Tobacco Control 2030" project was also developed. C) Expected results: the final results of the "investment case" were brought to the attention of the Government of Georgia in order to develop the right messages and propaganda for the Ministries of Health to send information on the implementation of the Framework Convention with significant reverse investments in other relevant institutions. The strategy of the "Framework Convention on Tobacco Control 2030" project will be approved by the Minister of Labor, Health and Social Protection of Georgia.
