Conducting anti-HBc Ab and HBsAg chemiluminescence tests


A) Objective: to conduct anti-HBc Ab chemiluminescence tests and HBsAg confirmatory studies on serum samples from the population of Ukraine. B) Ways to implement the project: the project will receive up to 5,000 serum samples from Ukraine. Purchase of consumables and reagents necessary for testing samples. Serum samples from the Ukrainian population will be tested for antibodies against HBc Ab. Ab-HBc-positive samples will be tested for HBsAg, and a confirmatory HBsAg test will be performed to confirm active infection in HBsAg-positive samples. C) Expected results: The project makes it possible to determine the prevalence of hepatitis B virus in a selected population group in Ukraine and the number of subjects carrying active hepatitis B infection.
